Monarch Butterflies

As they do every year, monarch butterflies visited the park this summer adding new life and color to the gardens. This article from Karen Usas, a long time IPP volunteer, gives an excellent insight on the wonders of these insects. Unfortunately, the extensive use of pesticides (but none in the park!), compounded by climate change is dramatically affecting the population of Monarch butterflies.
