2005 CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

In 2005, Friends of India Point Park (FIPP) is embarking on our first-ever capital campaign. Our goal is to raise $25,000 that would enable us to:

burying the waterfront power lines

expanding the waterfront public space

new playground

cleanups and tree mulching

2005 capital campaign

  • design and build a bulletin board kiosk to enhance the park's sense of community

  • complete the "Past Points" mosaic mural by funding a new collaboration between artists Mika Seeger and Peter Geisser with students from Hope High School

  • install more picnic tables and new trash cans

  • improve the park's landscaping with low-maintenance plantings, cobblestones, and mulch

We are asking you, as people who care about the park, to help us reach our goal. We are also seeking grants from government programs, foundations, and local businesses.  To kick off our campaign, the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts awarded $3500 towards completing the tile mural.

    See you in the park!
