A large bed of weeds transformed into shrubs, flowers & grasses!

On Friday morning, Sept. 14, twenty Simulia Corp. volunteers helped us plant 150 shrubs and other plants on the steep bed, weed other beds, and fill two large trucks with weeds. Simulia has helped us every year since 2009. We are so grateful for their decade of hard work that has made a huge difference in the Park!
The Providence Parks Dept. (PPD) installed irrigation, removed weeds, and provided trucks, water, and protective fencing for planting this bed and weeding others.
Friends of India Point Park has raised funds to buy the irrigation equipment and $1,500 worth of plants selected by our volunteer landscape designer, Tysh McGrail. FIPP volunteers worked closely with Tysh, Simulia, and PPD on this project. We so appreciate the wonderful teamwork that has made it possible.
